RestorX™ is a gluten-free formula which contains a number of nutrients known to support the restoration of intestinal permeability, and optimize gut barrier integrity and function. L-glutamine is the primary amino acid source for intestinal cells, and also regulates intercellular junction integrity. N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG) provides the substrate for glycosaminoglycan formation, often impaired with increased intestinal permeability. Zinc is included, with a deficiency shown to disrupt tight junctions and alter membrane permeability.

Antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, grape seed extract, milk thistle, and beta carotene, protect the GI from oxidative damage, and provide support for hepatic detoxification of compounds associated with dysbiosis and intestinal dysfunction. Quercetin has been shown to be critical to intestinal integrity, in part by stabilizing mast cells which regulate intestinal function and tight junction integrity. Bifidobacterium longum (patented strain BB536), a probiotic, has been found to prevent damage to intestinal cells and to increase production of tight junction cell proteins, which improves intestinal integrity. The use of organic sprouted brown rice as the gluten free protein source allows those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities to safely restore intestinal wall health.

For Daily Maintenance: Start your day with 1 scoop (32.4 g) mixed as instructed below or as directed by a health care professional.

For Intestinal Rejuvenation: 1 scoop (32.4 g) 2–4 times per day or as directed by a health care professional.

Mixing Instructions: Blend, shake or briskly stir 1 scoop (32.4 g) into 8 fl. oz. of purified water or freshly pressed juice (vegetable or fruit). You can also customize your drink mix by blending 1 scoop (32.4 g) with 8 fl. oz. of purified water and 1 cup of fresh or frozen organic berries or other fruit. Stir and drink immediately.

Drug Interactions: N-acetyl cysteine may cause hypotension and headaches when taken with nitroglycerin. Some components may also have a hypoglycemic effect, and caution should be used for patients on antidiabetic therapy. 
  
While no specific contraindications exist or are predicted, data is lacking for use during pregnancy, lactation, and in children, and the dosage may need to be reduced for those less than 18.
